The Bay Church believes children are a gift from God. Child dedication is a public commitment you, the parent(s), make before God, your church, and your family. The dedication service provides you, the parent(s), an opportunity to express publicly your desire to lead and spiritually nurture your child in cooperation with the Holy Spirit, so your child will develop a desire to love God and love others.
“For This Boy (Child) I Prayed, And The Lord Has Given Me My Petition Which I Asked Of Him. So I Have Also Dedicated Him To The Lord; As Long As He Lives He Is Dedicated To The Lord.” 1 Samuel 1:27–28
In order to participate in the child dedication celebration, you must complete the online parenting videos Prior to the Child Dedication Class. Details for this six session video series will be emailed to you upon completing this registration form. Then, you will need to attend the Child Dedication Class. This class will answer any questions and give instruction about the dedication service.
