The Bay Kids Worship team is open to current 4-5th graders. Our Bay Kids Pastors lead practice on Sunday's from 1:30 p.m. to 2:15 p.m. in The Zone. Practice attendance is mandatory in order to participate in services the
following weekend.
During practice, we learn two new songs- one praise song with dance moves and one slow worship song. Devotions and structured games will be a part of our practice routine so the kids can have fellowship together.
During service, we are an encouraging face to those that might be new, shy, not yet believing, etc! We smile, sing, dance, and praise God! We are the leading example for worship.
Frequency: Your child will be placed on a rotating schedule, leading at least twice a month at two of our four weekend experiences each time they lead.
Children have an amazing ability to praise God freely and with open and tender hearts. It's simply beautiful. The Bible says this about praise - "How good it is to sing praises to our God, how pleasant and fitting to praise him!" (Psalm 147:1). What better way to build worshipping hearts than to join a team with other kids who are committed to growing in the same way.
Not every child is currently ready to take this step.
Be sure to ask yourself the following questions before signing your child up to be on The Bay Kids Worship Team:
- Does my child like to be in front of a crowd singing?
- Does my child have a heart to praise?
- Have they experienced salvation yet?
- Can our family honor the time requirements for this ongoing commitment?
